Huntsville Dental Assistant School’s mission is to provide our students with a comprehensive education covering all of the topics and procedures they will encounter in their new careers. Topics covered in our course include:
Our 40-hour externship program provides our students with the real-world experience they need to become confident and qualified dental assistants. The externship portion of our dental assistant program allows our students the opportunity to work under the direct guidance of experienced dental assistant professionals in a local dental office. Students are eligible to begin their externships after class 6.
Students who graduate from Huntsville Dental Assistant School will receive a Dental Assistant Certificate of Completion from our program.
Additionally, students receive their BLS (CPR) certification in class through the American Heart Association.
While students cannot practice radiology in class in accordance to the state of Alabama, we do have lectures on radiology and mock x-ray labs. Once you graduate from our program, you are ready to take x-rays in your new job.
The Huntsville Dental Assistant School is licensed and regulated by the Alabama Department of Postsecondary Education, plus Alabama Commission on Higher Education.
Although we encourage our students to find their own externships, our externship coordinators are here to help our students identify potential opportunities in the area and assist with applications.
